UK TV Premiere Dates: 2023 Calendar

You could go outside. Break out your winter coat, wrap up against the chill and do the awkward no-after-you dance with a fellow human being on a narrow pavement. But really, is it worth the bother? Inside is where it’s really happening. Inside is where the television lives.

The new series of Sky’s mind-bending sci-fi The Lazarus Project is currently airing on Sky Max, with all episodes available to stream on NOW. And this Saturday, the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate kick off on BBC One and around the world. We’re getting one a week starting on November 25, followed by Ncuti Gatwa’s official debut in a 2023 Christmas special. And speaking of Christmas specials, there’s one last visit to Button House for the cast of BBC comedy Ghosts to look out for.

Other than that, Taskmaster is steadily approaching its series 16 finale, and if you still can’t quite shake Halloween, some spooky seasonal delights are available in the form of acclaimed US series Interview with the Vampire on BBC Two, and Mike Flanagan’s final chilling Netflix series The Fall of the House of Usher (nothing to do with the American singer, trust us). Loki season two has just concluded, and for crime drama fans, Shetland is back on BBC One on Wednesday nights, starring Ashley Jensen in the lead role.
